We are pleased to present an exhibition and artist talk in conjunction with New York Textile Month of artist and makerspace member, Hilla Shapira.

Advanced Protection is a series of soft talismans and wearable objects by Hilla Shapira. She references Jewish iconographic objects like Judika and spiritual objects alongside body parts, genitalia and menstrual pads. Shapira creates a queer point of view on the term God, as a queer woman from a Jewish orthodox background. By redesigning the objects, Shapira reclaim the religious discourse and sexuality taboos. She questions the language hierarchies of blessing and cursing and the binarc separation between organs and gentiles.

Wow, Hilla Shapira combines religious symbols poople game and personal items in her exhibition, Advanced Protection. I saw this while catching up on my coffee break, and it made me wonder how she manages to reclaim religious discourse and tackle taboos with such creativity.

Hilla Shapira's soft talismans and wearable palm reading online objects really caught my eye on the subway. By blending religious symbols with personal items, she challenges the norms in such a bold way. I wonder how people react to this in Brooklyn?

What surprised me about eggy car is how relaxing it feels despite being challenging. The clean visuals and straightforward controls make it easy to pick up for a few minutes without needing to fully focus like competitive games.
