what do you want to learn today?

Due to Covid 19, all BUS and other skill-based classes are being scheduled as private lessons. If you need to learn a piece of equipment or a skill on a piece of equipment such as welding, we will schedule that with an instructor on site at either location. All classes are $75 per hour for non-members or $60 per hour for members.

Basic Use and safety classes

Learn the basic set up, safety and use of machines in the shops. In order to be cleared to use industrial and advanced manufacturing machines, you must show basic proficiency and knowledge of safety and use of each machine you want to use. Use clearance may be granted through demonstrated knowledge of machinery or by taking a BSU class.

For now, our workshops in industrial machinery are limited to ages 18+.  Some non-industrial machine classes such as laser cutting or 3D printing are suitable for ages 13+. If you are unsure, just ask.
