Summer Family Day: Bottle Rockets

10:30am - 12:00pm
$5/bottle rocket kit

For our family day the month of August, we will be making bottle rockets and blasting them off! Included in one bottle rocket kit is a large plastic bottle, cardboard and cardstock for the rocket decorations, and decorating material! Instructions will be given on how to create your own bottle rocket and then we will learn about how to blast off with a bike pump in MakerPark. Instructors are present to help you and your family make!

Bottle Rocket Kits and $5, please buy multiple tickets if you need more.


Caregiver involvement required. Please arrive within the first hour to ensure your seat.

All ages welcome, parental supervision required.

Summer Family Day: Bird Feeders

$5/bird feeder kit

For our family day the month of June, we will be making bird feeders for your home! Included in one bird feeder kit are all the essentials: a plastic bottle, string, and bird seed. Instructions will be given on how to create your own unique bird feeder and materials for decoration. Instructors are present to help you and your family make!


Each kit is $5, please get multiple tickets if you need more than 1 kit.

Caregiver involvement required. Please arrive within the first hour to ensure your seat.

Maker Skills Camp July 15-19

Maker Skills camp teaches campers a different tool each day. This week, we learn about the soldering iron, drills & drivers, jigsaw, and linkages & adhesives. Campers will make small objects to learn each skill and then advance their knowledge with making: electronic sculptures, cardboard pinball machines, wooden automata, small and large spirographs, and crazy camp t-shirts. Camp ends with a pizza party!

All materials provided. Students take home their own individual projects.

Join us for an exciting week of hands-on building, inventing, and engineering! 2019 summer camp programs offer young people a chance to learn both high tech and old school engineering, design, and fabrication using a variety of tools and equipment.

Dress Code

Campers should wear closed-toe shoes every day and no loose clothing. Campers should come prepared with sunblock, water, and any other items necessary for their needs. There is a snack time, but no lunch.

basic Use and Safety classes

Basic Use and Safety (BUS) Classes are required for certification on all Class B equipment unless you can demonstrate proof of proficiency.

All BUS classes are 2 hrs long and cover safety, set-up, and basic use.

Cost for any BUS class: Members: $60 Non-Members: $75                   

Discount! Take 3 Class Pass Members: $150 Non-members $200            Please call to register for discounted multiple sessions.
