At MakerSpace NYC Staten Island students will be immersed in our industrial arts facility, a warehouse space with active member studios, ceramics room, live stream radio station, metalshop, woodshop, and more! Across the street is our sculpture park, MakerPark, which hosts rotating sculpture exhibitions and a place to eat lunch. Come to Staten Island to interact with our arts community and gain exposure to careers in arts, design, engineering, and manufacturing.
Futureworks Makerspace, in the Brooklyn Army Terminal, exposes students to an array of advanced manufacturing and digital fabrication equipment. This large space houses a full metalshop, woodshop, electronics and sewing area, with several laser cutters and 3D printers. Students work on a project in a separate work space and have access to the atrium in the terminal. The Brooklyn location is a bustling working space full of makers of all kinds working on projects and prototypes.
The STEAM Wagon is a mobile STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) education and innovation lab that brings hands-on programs in science, technology, engineering, arts and math to your school or event!
