Make your own Harriet Tubman stamp with artist Dano Wall

Special performance by "Harriet Tubman Herself" Christine Dixon

Saturday, June 22  2-6 PM

Futureworks Makerspace

Brooklyn Army Terminal

Up to 4 persons may attend for a $20 ticket and you will make one stamp per group. (Additional stamps are $20 each)

Join us for a family friendly event celebrating Harriet Tubman!  Learn and see how the Harriet Tubman stamp is made. You will assemble your own 3D printed handle and laser cut stamp that you can take home.  Bring your own $20 bills to stamp and keep.  There will also be a short performance of the show "Harriet Tubman Herself" by Christine Dixon.

Meet Dano Wall, the artist who came up with the idea for the Harriet Tubman stamp in order to express his disappointment over the decision of the Treasury Secretary that Harriet Tubman's image would not make it on to the $20 bill until 2028.

More information can be found at:

A full explanation of the legality of currency stamping can be found here:

This event is for all ages.  Children must be accompanied by an adult. Up to four (4) members of a family may attend per ticket.
